So what's it like anyway (interior)

It's an open plan, chalet/cabin type of place. Like living in a Montana's.

As you enter (through the half crown entrance) there's a half wall to the right and this view.

This half of the room is lounge,

the other half dining area and kitchen. The pipe in the corner above is the chimney for the woodstove which is located in the basement.

The rail in the foreground is the bannister for the basement stairs. We have the original plans for the house and the Viceroy brochure describing it. The designer didn't intend to put the stairs in the dining room but what was intended to be the stairwell is now the laundry room.
This is the kitchen, the width of it compared with the one in the old house is a constant surprise.

The door at the end leads to the outside door on the right and the laundry room on the left. Handy if you come in dirty from the barn, the clothes can go into the laundry room and you can stand naked in the kitchen and have a beer.

This is the master bedroom seen from the door,

and from the corner by the bed.

There seems to be some sort of poltergeist at work on that mirror. There's an ensuite behind the camera but we can't show that because the pieces therein don't match.

What's intended to be the second bedroom is now the office. That wallpaper wanted covering with books asap.

There's a basement. One very large room with the fireplace in the corner. It's carpeted except for a strip by the walkout and the fire which, sensibly, is painted concrete. There's also a large spare bedroom and a vast storage room. Perhaps one day the storage room will be cut in half and half of it made into another bathroom, perhaps we'll get lots of farm stuff instead.
