Winter, seven months of wet feet.

Charlie was outside for two minutes before this picture was taken. Note the back feet. That snow will fall off around the house leaving puddles of cold water waiting for the unwary foot. All winter I have pairs of barely worn socks drying all over the house.

Cats are better only in having smaller feet. They track less snow into the house.

This is more my idea of domestic animals, happy at their trough (filled with beans that somehow went wrong in the cooking and weren't fit for humans). Chickens with wet feet keep their wet feet to themselves.

  1. I love the pictures of your dog and cat. I have a Bichon/part poodle he lookes like your dog only smaller. They are God's creatures here to soften us and keep us company and teach us not to sweat the small stuff!

  2. Your pictures remind me of a hymm at Sunday School when I was young...

    All things wild and wonderful
    All creatures great and small
    All things wild and beautiful
The Lord, God made them all.

Your pets are adorable. Treasure them dearly.
