Walkies!

A donkey is a much more managable sort of creature if it'll lift its feet reliably and if it'll walk along steadily. Achieving the former means much fondling of the feet.




Kobe (as half of us call him) isn't bad with lifting the feet but he's not great at being led. Here he needs tugging.



Ultimately, despite being coaxed and bribed with pears, he needed a both the rough rope halter and a longe line hooked around his bum before he'd go along nicely. Since that requires one person to work the rope and one for the line we've no pictures of orderly donkey behaviour.



We also lack a recording of the kerfuffle the other two kicked up when their leader was taken 150' away. Whinnying, snorting, charging about, they were a two horse stampede.
