Blam-a-blam, blam-a-blam, blam-a-blam.

Was the sound that woke us on Saturday, "the season for something must have started" I said. "Semi-automatics", muttered the American, who would know about those things. It's the season for "American Black Ducks" according to the internet but that seems excessively specific.

Outside it was wet and a good number of leaves had changed colour,

We are, I suppose, a couple of weeks from peak colour and three from hours of raking.

  2. Colour to me, the Englishman, color to Anna, the American; any variation works.

Glad you liked the pictures, I'm very much hoping for a dry weekend so we can try for some really good shots.
