Back on Boxing Day...

Hair drying pipes doesn't make for a fun post and neither is it fun news that the Element is now stuck in a drift in the driveway, so here are some nice pictures from early on Boxing Day. It was cool and frosty but as the moon faded and the sun came up the light was very bright and clear, note the shadows.

If we throw something off the deck far enough to clear the cross fence on the hill Charlie runs down, jumps the fence and retrieves it. That thing is a ball with a tail. At least it is in the Summer, in Winter it's a ball with an ice spear attached.

He can't jump the fence coming up the hill and so has to go around the far end of it (why there is a fence that doesn't enclose anything is anyone's guess).

It's a steep climb up again.

So that's the dog walked for just a few swings of the arm.

Ack! I can't do it, the simple happy post. I have to work in some misery, this was the tractor stuck on the hill. It took several days and many, many, runs at the slope to get it out. Tomorrow I'll collect the chains and, inshallah, clear the laneway properly.
