What good's a tractor when there aren't horses yet?

A tractor is one of those things you soon wonder how you lived without. One just comes to need a tractor.

Suppose there's a need to assemble a trampoline somewhere down the hill; you can just throw it in the bucket with some tools and off you go.

It'd be better, of course, if you could find the hammer.

if you want to drill a hole in the ground, the tractor's the thing to have

but the primary advantage of having a tractor is that, should it ever get so warm that the ground unfreezes, one can take a couple of acres of mule turds and make them into a neat pile.
