but then they fetch and eat your shoes.
If you want to be at peace to enjoy a snack

you need to be on the other side of a door
Brigid should sleep well today. We've a motion detector light outside the bedroom window, sometimes when there's a power failure at night it gets confused and stays on until darkness next falls. It did that last night, keeping Brigid and, in turn, the rest of us, awake most of the night. She can doze all day while we're at work which raises the alarming possibility of a pattern emerging, a pattern in reverse of us. Eeek! The unreliability of the power supply in rural Ontario is a huge bother, the case for going off grid here isn't predicated so much on green concerns as the fact that the supply is expensive and conks out whenever there's wind, or snow, or rain. It's about as good as the mobile phone service.
Anyway, Dana, this is a bit of a better picture of Monique.

She was trying on a stack of old style dresses. That was something to do with the sugar bush, perhaps we should have set her to work there.
Monique looks great in the period dress, judging by her smile she likes it very much.
ReplyDeleteBrigid is not looking innocent, she considering what else to fetch that might be edible before handing it over. Good thing Charlie eats outside.
Power outages in Ontario, ha you obviously never lived in Montreal.
