We came back to find that the fields had all gone green. I was afraid that I would leave and miss the transformation of the place from late Winter to early Spring, but I didn't miss everything. We still don't have leaves on the trees. Silly me, to think there ought to be leaves on trees in May! Our pasture is coming in nicely, though.
We have a slew of chipmunks who steal the birdseed. Unlike the birds, who take several days to eat a few handfuls of seeds, the chipmunks can hoover that much food up in a matter of hours. The appliance from which this one is leaping is where they all may end up if they keep stealing all of the bird seed.
