Pear time again.

A colleague has pear trees, trees that produce far more pears than he's about to eat. I went and fetched them setting off a feeding frenzy.

Here Dixie pauses for a rare breath.

Donkeys, of course, can breathe through their ears and don't need to stop.

Anything that fell from the equines was pounced upon
suggesting once again that you don't want to fall down injured among a flock of hungry chickens.

  1. I don't think I even care to ponder what comes out the other end of a horse or donkey after it has hoovered up a basket of pears !!

  2. They didn't really get the whole basket at once, I just had to put it down while closing the gate. I've no time to cope with equine intestinal disruption!

  3. good for the roses though.....

I have some tiny apples on a tree, I wonder ir my friend's horses would like them. I know I should be making apple jelly but it's not high on my list of fun things to do
